Hydrangea macro photos – free for download

My Endless Summer hydrangeas are a bit confused this year. This particular variety is supposed to be colored pink or blue depending on the acidity of your soil. For some reason, I’ve got pink and blue on the same plant! I’m not sure what’s going on with that. Last year they were all blue except one plant on the end which was leaning towards lavender. This year they’re all mixed up. Which is fine with me, they’re pretty that way.
I grabbed the camera and snapped some photos while the light was good. These haven’t been color manipulated, but I did do a slight exposure adjustment in Photoshop. Feel free to grab them and use them for your own personal use.

Happy 4th of July – Fireworks Photography

It was hard to trim it down to my favorite 15, but here are the best of the photos I took tonight at the fireworks. I didn’t do much post-processing, only a little exposure adjustment and resizing in photoshop, no color work. I love the way they all look like flowers or some yet undiscovered sea creatures.
New Painting WIP – Finally!

I bought some gorgeous origami paper yesterday at my neighbor’s garage sale that inspired me to start a new series. Since the paper was 8″ square and I want these finished pieces to be much larger, I scanned and painted on top in Painter using the Artist’s Oils and Sumi-e brushes. I love my Cintiq
Anyhoo, I gotta run if I’m going to go see fireworks but here’s the first WIP (work in progress).
