sunday dinner bento

i call this sunday dinner bento, because that’s usually when i make roast chicken. i found a really good recipe a few years ago for roast chicken. i don’t have the recipe around anymore, and i don’t measure anything, but i mix rosemary, thyme, oregano, salt, pepper, and minced garlic with some olive oil to make a nice paste, and then i rub that *under* the skin of the chicken. then it’s just a matter of sticking it in the oven at 350° F and basting it every once in a while. the taste of the herbs goes all the way into the chicken, and it’s really tender too. i didn’t make a whole chicken this time, just the legs, because they were on sale.

on the menu:

  • 2 chicken legs
  • mashed potatoes
  • grape tomatoes
  • 1/2 honey tangerine
  • 1 large lemonhead candy
