yiddle mini burger bento!

It’s yiddle burger time! I suppose it’s time again to explain where “yiddle” came from. When my son was 2, he couldn’t say “little” right. When I asked him what I should name the dwarf character I was creating in an MMORPG game I was playing at the time, he said “She’s yiddle!”, and so I became yiddle. These are yiddle burgers for two reasons: because they are tiny, and because they’re my own special recipe.
I never measure anything out, I always just toss the ingredients in, but here’s what I throw in the mix: ground beef, minced onions, parmesan cheese (a lot), oregano, seasoning salt, freshly ground black pepper, 1 egg, Worcestershire sauce. I really should figure out measurements for all that so I can put the recipe in the kiddo’s recipe binder. I mix that all up with my hands. Yeah, eww, gross, touching raw meat and all that, but it really is the best way to get it mixed together. Then I form the meat mixture into patties or meatballs. They are YUMMY. I made mini burgers and meatballs tonight. I put the little patties on hotdog buns that I had cut into 3 pieces, and added some Monterey Jack cheese. I prefer Swiss, but I let kiddo make the cheese decision tonight. Today’s lunch isn’t the healthiest, but it’s fun, and kiddo has spring break this week, so fun is a requirement.
